Description
Team Blue are in Venice, and Thomas from Coffee Break German admits he's a bit nervous about his Italian. He's been listening to the announcements on the train and didn't understand very much. His plan is to let Max from Coffee Break French keep him right, because Max's French and Spanish are great. Max has news for him: "My Italian is French, basically."
Plenty of learners will know that feeling. If you speak French or Spanish, written Italian often looks familiar, but a fast announcement on a train is a different matter. What you already know does help, and it helps more the more Italian you hear.
On Track: four language experts in two teams race across Europe by train, with language challenges every step of the way. A new episode every Sunday on the Coffee Break Languages channel.
